Containers
Docker VPS hosting
A self-managed Linux VPS for Docker and Compose, with full root access and predictable transfer costs. Install Docker, bring your stack and manage it your way.
From $5.99/month · USD · availability varies by region
Overview
Install Docker on your Linux VPS and bring your own Compose configuration. You own the deployment, updates and application monitoring; PrivateByte provides the server and its included infrastructure features.
Run your web service, worker and supporting services together. This is a self-managed VPS, not an advertised managed container platform.
Account for the operating system, all containers and build-time peaks. A database and background worker need headroom too.
Use persistent volumes and application-aware backups. A server snapshot is useful, but is not a replacement for a tested database restore.

Answers
This page proposes a self-managed Linux VPS workflow. You install and operate Docker; it does not promise one-click Docker provisioning or managed application support.
For a small multi-service stack, assess the 4 GB Orbit plan as a starting point, then measure. Requirements vary; build jobs, databases and additional services may need more RAM and CPU.
Server backups help recovery, but live database consistency requires application-aware backup procedures. Keep independent copies and test restoration.
Only expose ports you intend to make public. Follow Docker’s firewall documentation, use TLS for public services and keep database ports private.
